Romanian opera singer Angela Gheorghiu, who made her name in 1994 with Verdi's
La Traviata, is one of the few divas to enjoy popular success, thanks to her
luminous interpretations of operas by Massenet and Puccini(La Bohème, Tosca,
Turandot) and her marriage to tenor Roberto Alagna. An opera star, Angela
Gheorghiu has recorded several anthologies of her favorite 19th-century Italian
composers: Verdi per Due, Casta Diva (2001), Diva (2004), My Puccini (2008) and
Puccini Opera Arias in 2010.
