Avantasia
Avantasia is an all-star project founded in 2000 by Tobias Sammet. Until then,
the German celebrated success as the singer of the metal band Edguy. At the same
time, he has made a name for himself as a composer and producer. Musically,
Avantasia covers the genres of power metal, symphonic metal and progressive
metal. The idea for the project was born in 1999 after an Edguy tour. Tobias
Sammet wanted to release a concept album with guest musicians. He recruits
former Helloween singers Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske, among others. Later,
