Founded in Fukuoka, Japan in 1979, Chage and Aska is a Japanese pop music duo
consisting of Chage (Shuji Shibata) and Ryo Aska (Shigeaki Miyazaki). Winning
the Yamaha Popular Song Festival with their debut single “Hitori Saki (One
Bloom)” the duo released their studio album Kazemai the following year, however
it was their 1981 album Neppū that saw them secure their first number 1 position
