Formed in San Diego, California in 1985, Fattburger was a jazz-funk and fusion
band formed by Hollis Gentry (saxophone), Carl Evans Jr. (keyboards), Mark
Hunter (bass), Steve Laury (guitar) and Kevin Koch (drums). Percussionist Tommy
Aros was recruited as an auxiliary band member. Fattburger released their debut
album, One of a Kind, in 1986 and received substantial airplay on jazz-oriented
radio stations. Gentry left Fattburger before the band recorded their second
