Italian singer/songwriter and dancer In-Grid was born Ingrid Alberini (she was named after iconic actress Ingrid Bergman) in Italy on September 11, 1973. After triumphing at the Voice of San Remo competition in 1994, she began her professional career in earnest, releasing her first single, “Someday” in 2000. Her big break came when producers Marco Soncini and Larry Pignagnoli had her record the vocal track for “Tu es foutu”, a 2001 single that would become an international dance smash.
