First making a name for himself at the turn of the millennium, Liberty City R&B singer Jonathan “J-Shin” Shinhoster (born in Miami, Florida in 1978) found himself on the cusp of a breakthrough thanks to a high-profile appearance on Southern hip-hop heavyweight Trick Daddy’s “Hold On” in 1999.
