Top-tier trance collaborator Jan Johnston (born February 21, 1968 in Salford, England) has provided vocals for some of the genre's best-known producers. Starting her career in the early 1990s as one half of Mancunian pop duo JJ, Johnston made her solo debut in 1994 with Naked But for Lilies. In a simple twist of fate, she ended up singing on BT's 1997 track "Remember" (featured on his ESCM album) after the US trance producer discovered one of Johnston's singles in a bargain bin in Manchester.
