Born in Barcelona on March 3, 1958, Jordi Bonell i Dayá, better known by his
stage name Jordi Bonell, studied piano and guitar at the Liceu Conservatory,
before continuing his training with Jim Hall at the New School for Social
Research in New York. In the mid-1970s, together with Gato Pérez, he formed the
progressive rock and jazz fusion group Secta Sònica, which produced two albums,
before joining Música Urbana, where he met keyboardist Joan Albert Amargós, with
