Kandi Burruss was born in East Point, Georgia in 1976. She is a
singer-songwriter and actress famous for being part of '90s girl group Xscape.
The group had three albums - 'Hummin' Comin' at 'Cha' (1993), 'Off the Hook'
(1995) and 'Traces of My Lipstick' (1998) - before disbanding.
Teaming up with former bandmate Tameka Cottle, Kandi went on to pen the track
'No Scrubs' which would become a number one hit for TLC. She also penned 'Bills,
Bills, Bills' for Destiny's Child and 'There You Go' for Pink before releasing
