Kat Deluna is an American R&B artist who began singing when she attended the New Jersey School of the Performing Arts. She was part of a group called Coquette before going solo with her debut album '9 Lives', which reached number 58 on the Billboard 200 in 2007. The track 'Whine Up' from that album, featuring Elephant Man, topped Billboard's Dance Club Songs Chart, went to number 14 on Billboard's Mainstream Top 40, number 29 on the Hot 100 and number 43 on the Hot Latin Songs Chart in 2007.
