Norwegian singer/songwriters Eirik Glambek Bøe and Erlend Øye formed the
harmony-heavy indie folk duo Kings of Convenience in 1999. Both musicians were
born in 1975 and raised in Bergen, and they first performed together in the
short-lived band Skog. Three years after releasing Skog's 1996 debut EP, Tom
Tids Tale, they reformed as Kings of Convenience and spent the summer playing
