Radio DJs Alberto Cazzola, Lodovico Guenzi, and Alberto Guidetti formed the
indie-rock band Lo Stato Sociale in Bologna, Italy, in 2009. After releasing
their debut EP, 2010's Welfare Pop, as a trio, the musicians added Enrico
Roberto and Francesco Draicchio to Lo Stato Sociale's lineup in 2011. A second
EP, Amore ai tempi dell'Ikea, was released that same year, followed by the debut
album Turisti della democrazia in 2012. Turisti della democrazia was a critical
