It's been a long road for the star of nuevo flamenco, Miguel Poveda's non-Andalusian origins having littered his path with stones. Miguel Poveda began singing as an amateur in 1988, and his first album, Viento del Este, was released in 1995. Miguel Poveda's legitimacy came mainly from the stage, with recording success following naturally. Zaguán (2001), the risky Desclaç (2005), and Tierra de Calma (2006) mark out his career path.
