Michael David Quattlebaum, born on April 2, 1986, is an elusive artist who
blends disciplines to great effect. Poet, writer, rocker, rapper and prominent
lesbian, gay, homosexual and transgender (LGBT) rights activist, he uses art as
a megaphone to promote queer culture. Under the pseudonym Mykki Blanco, he
pursued a career in rap, beginning with three EPs and as many mixtapes. In 2015,
