MYMP ( Make Your Momma Proud) formed in Quezon City, the Philippines in 2003 as
a tribute to founder Jacques "Chin" Alcantara's mother who died of breast
cancer. The acoustic favourites stepped out with their debut album for Ivory
Records, Soulful Acoustic, that same year and upped their game on their second
album, Beyond Acoustic (2005), which became one of the biggest-selling LPs ever
produced by an acoustic band, debuting at number six on the Philippine Top
Albums chart. Following an updated acoustic version of Beyond Acoustic and a
live LP in 2006, MYMP Live at the Music Muse...
