Oboy is the stage name of Mihaja Ramiarinarivo (January 6, 1997), a French
rapper who was born in Madagascar and raised in the suburbs of Paris. His
pseudonym is a homage to the character of O-Dog in the 1993 film Menace II
Society. Oboy was in the collective Way Boto before gaining attention as a solo
artist with singles such as “Cobra” and “Cabeleira,” included in his 2018
mixtape Southside. His songs are often melancholic tales of underprivileged life
