Pearls Before Swine was the name of a band formed by folk rock singer-songwriter Tom Rapp in the mid-1960s. They made six albums performing a mix of folk, psychedelia and rock music and disbanded in 1974 when Rapp went on to a brief solo career and then quit to become a civil rights lawyer. Noted for poetic anthems that decried the state of the world, the group's first release was 'One Nation Underground' in 1967 followed by 'Balaklava' in '68.
