American singer Robin McKelle wishes she'd lived in the 1940s. Born in
Rochester, New York, in 1976, she chose to revive memories by performing jazz
standards from the swing era. Her warm, sensual voice is accompanied by a
dazzling big band on the albums Introducing Robin McKelle (2006) and Modern
Antique (2008). In 2010, Mess Around continued her repertoire of jazz, pop and
soul, while Soul Flower (2012), as the title suggests, confirms the new style
