Born in Chicago on January 23, 1967, Ronnie Baker Brooks is an American blues
singer-songwriter carrying on the tradition of his father Lonnie Brooks along
with his guitarist brother Wayne Baker Brooks. He learned to play the guitar as
a child and toured with his father's band playing bass before switching to lead.
When his father fell ill before a concert at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage
Festival in 1992, he stepped in and became a headliner. He continued to tour
with his father and they performed with artists such as Eric Clapton, B.B. King,
