Initially formed as a three-piece by Calum and Rory Macdonald with Blair Douglas
in 1973 to play at wedding receptions, Runrig quickly developed a unique Celtic
sound, integrating Highlands folk music with the anthemic rock of bands like U2,
Big Country and Simple Minds. The first of many line-up changes occurred with
