House and techno DJ/producer Patrick Scott – born in Detroit, Michigan – is better known by his stage name Scott Grooves. When he was younger, he was encouraged by his jazz-musician father to learn to play keyboards, guitar, and drums. Initially studying jazz, he began working at Record Time, a record store in Detroit that specialized in techno and house music.
