Static-X emerged as a powerhouse in the late '90s nu-metal scene, fusing dark
industrial tones, high-speed metal, and electronic beats, to craft what they
coined 'Evil Disco.' Front man Wayne Static began playing guitar at seven,
joining various bands by age 12 before moving to Chicago in his early 20s, to
collaborate with Billy Corgan (pre-Smashing Pumpkins), on Deep Blue Dream.
Influenced by Pantera, Sisters of Mercy, and The Prodigy, Static relocated to
