Tiwony from Guadeloupe has always been immersed in reggae. A sound system veteran since 1993, Tiwony made a name for himself with his 1997 track "Pas de timinik ", featured on the soundtrack of the film Ma 6-T Va Craquer. Tiwony went on to collaborate with rap artists such as Rohff and 2 Bal 2 Neg. His albums Double Trouble Express (2002), Viv la Vie (2009), and Cité Soleil (2011) cemented his reputation in the French West Indies. In December 2012, Tiwony released the street album Difé Lyrical, featuring twenty-one tracks and numerous collaborations.
