Transplants is the brainchild of Tim Armstrong, of Californian punk band Rancid,
who brought together Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and former Rancid
roadie-turned-rapper Rob Aston. The band's two albums, Transplants (2002) and
Haunted Cities (2005), fused hip-hop and punk rock, in a debauchery of energy
and verbal jousting, playing with clichés, for the sake of hybrid and mixed
music. Reunited in 2010, Transplants released In a Warzone in 2013.
