Founded in Brisbane, Australia in 2004, Violent Soho is an alternative rock band formed by high school friends Luke Boerdam (vocals, guitar) and James Tidswell (guitar), Luke Henery (bass) and Michael Richards (drums). Their debut grunge-inspired EP Pigs & TV, consisted of songs that Boerdam wrote when he was 14, was released in 2006 and well received by reviewers with the band acquiring a loyal fanbase.
